Jay has displayed his artistic versatility by working as a graphic artist, a 3D/4D modeler, a painter, a sketch artist, and an animator, among other media.

Jay worked with ABC and NBC for more than 30 years, and won his Emmy for Television Graphics during his tenure at NBC. Jay's cutting-edge graphics have appeared in such notable movies as the Star Wars series and 2001: A Space Odyssey. Jay was also lead artist on the team that created the world famous “liquid” T-100 Terminator in Terminator 2: Judgement Day. His client list has included George Lucas’ Industrial Light and Magic (ILM), MGM, The National Geographic Society, NASA, IBM, General Electric, Contel, MCI, The World Bank, and the IMF.

Jay's design was used for the very first self adhesive US Postal Stamp: the 25 cent Eagle and Shield; his second stamp is the 29 cent version. This artwork is on display in the White House.
